The Audi is a car known and loved by every petrol head on the globe

Audis really are a great all rounder daily driver – families even choose it to get them from A to B.

There isn’t a lot that this car can’t do – the brand recently even unveiled a new EV brand and concept for China.

And, the new Audi RS e-Tron GT is the most powerful production car Audi has ever made – impressive right?

But, this Audi wasn’t quite the best buy.

You see, this YouTuber snapped up this cheap Audi RS3 from a subscriber but was in for some harsh truths.

He received a letter that stated it actually wasn’t driveable.

What did the letter mean for the Audi?

Due to it’s condition, the car wasn’t road safe.

It was classified as a ‘category A or B’ which meant that it was only legally allowed to go to a scrap yard.

Alternatively be used for extra parts.

In the UK, cars that are classed as category A are to be sent straight to the scrap yard.

That includes any of their parts that could have been rescued and used.

On the other hand, category B means that even though the car has quite a bit of damage, its parts can still be used again and save the day somewhere else.

Yeah, we know not ideal.

Luckily though, the creator did actually know that it was a write off – so he was a man with a plan.

He used the parts from his RS3 to fix his other, blue unhappy Audi A3.

In fact, the RS3 only actually cost him a mere $1,034.16 (£8,000) too, which he said was a ‘good deal’.

We tend to agree.

Which parts did he use in the A3?

To salvage the last remaining parts of his Audi, the YouTuber decided to swap the chassis over.

But he also created some other challenges he needed to face.

He was swapping it from a stick-shift to a DSG car – which means shifting from stick to an automatic that uses two clutches.

Plus, the batteries were also in different places in each of the respective cars – meaning it wasn’t the easiest of tasks to complete.

However, considering the car’s new home could have been landfill, this guy really did make the best out of a bad situation, don’t you think?

And this is only the start of the project – the main event is still set to get underway.

Take a look at all the action below.

Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
