This YouTuber was forced to sell half of his car collection after looking at his tax bill.

Costs had seemingly piled up after buying a fleet of vehicles, leaving him only one option.

It was time to sell and make some cash back, ready to pay for other projects and start again.

But which cars did he actually sell?

Every gearhead dreams of owning an extensive car collection

Unsurprisingly, many of the world’s rich and famous residents have their very own grand collections of expensive cars.

For example, MLB Hall of Famer, Reggie Jackson, has $8m American car collection ft. iconic classic muscle cars.

Plus, sporting superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s full supercar collection is valued at over $20 million and includes a one-of-10 Bugatti.

However buying and maintaining such impressive autos doesn’t come cheap.

Aside from maintenance costs, tax also comes into play, which this YouTuber found out the hard way.

His tax bill was worse than he thought

YouTube creator Hoovie – of Hoovies Garage – discovered that he owed a fair bit of a tax.

Stuck with finding a solution for the problem, there was a simple answer – selling part of his impressive car collection.

He needed to sort his finances, so his need for excessive speed had to take a back seat for the moment while he got back on track.

His collection went down by half as he sold his sets of wheels

According to the creator, the bill was higher than he initially expected or – let’s face it – wished for.

It was a mighty $500,000, to be exact.

So, to fix this, some of his fleet had to go.

One of the cars that got the boot included a Toyota FJ Cruiser, which he said needed a lot of work.

Thanks to the suspension and lots of check engine lights illuminating his dash, buying it was easy, he said.

So, it was time to bid farewell.

Other sad goodbyes included a Ferrari Testarossa, which he said ‘hurt’ to sell but was going for a good price.

However, it did need paint and body work, and the undercarriage needed some TLC.

Other cars that the gearhead parted with also included a Cadillac and Fisker Karma – which he said was the ‘biggest he’d gotten scammed in a very long time’

That doesn’t sound good.

It turned out the Fisker departed from his life after rewarding him with a $10,000 loss – which is less than ideal, you’d have to admit.

He did purchase another car to fill the void

After all the sad farewells, he purchased a dream Cadillac truck to start over again.

Let’s just hope that lessons were learned in the process before he started over.
