This 1968 Volkswagen Beetle has been transformed into a tank and is now up for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Nashville.

The Beetle is often used as a base car for creative modifications, which is exactly what this is.

The one-of-one custom build has been given a replica machine gun and rubber tracks, giving it a serious appearance.

There’s a lot more to this little Beetle too.

The Volkswagen Beetle is a reliable cult classic

The Volkswagen Beetle car has proved its versatility – it’s previously been transformed into the ‘Berlin Buick’ and even a 1,350hp flame-throwing dragster.

This Facebook find, might just top our lists though.

Enter the VW Beetle Tank

The creation was listed in Nashville priced at a hefty $25,000.

It’s not cheap, especially considering you can get a new base variant for $21,000.

But of course, this is no base variant.

The Beetle Tank has clocked 55,555 miles, and was described by the Facebook Marketplace seller as ‘one of a kind and custom built’.

As well as the replica machine gun and rubber tracks, the exterior is painted in a camouflage pattern with the hood bearing the words ‘move it or lose it’ underneath a skull.

The modded Beetle’s license plate reads ‘Yikes’, and of course, the car also wears the American Flag.

According to Cool Air Volkswagen Specialists: “The Beetle was available as from 1945 but most models at the time were built for the occupying forces and official agencies.  In 1946 the VW Beetle was available for the general public to purchase but only with the use of ration coupons.”

Would you snap this Beetle tank up for $25,000?

If this is something you could see yourself in the driver’s seat of, you can check out the Facebook Marketplace listing here.
