A Cybertruck taxi has been spotted for the first time on the streets of Dubai.

The monstrously big Tesla was seen driving on Sheikh Zayed Road this week.

It had a custom red and cream wrap, with the look made complete by a taxi topper.

The world’s first Cybertruck taxi

This is not the first Cybertruck to turn heads on the roads of Dubai.

The first delivery to the UAE took place in May, where a Cybertruck was parked on a beach in front of a dealership.

The Dubai Police also recently added a customized version of the EV to its already eccentric fleet.

Now, photos of the first Cybertruck taxi on the streets have emerged.

Its two-tone wrap is reminiscent of Houston rapper Trae tha Truth’s cream and red truck.

As with any Cybertruck news, the internet is divided: one half says it’s hideous, while the other is trying to think of excuses to call a taxi in Dubai.

No official announcements have been made so it’s not clear how one goes about ordering a ride yet.

What’s happening with Tesla’s robotaxi launch?

This taxi doesn’t seem to have any official ties to Tesla, which is currently gearing up to launch its own taxis.

Elon Musk first outlined his dream of having a fleet of Tesla taxis in his ‘Master Plan, Part Deux’.

We were able to catch a glimpse of these autonomous cabs in a teaser video that showed luxurious seats and a dashboard with no steering wheel.

The car also appears to have a glass roof and is hailed by an app, just like Uber or Lyft.

Earlier this year he announced that he’d be launching Robotaxis in China on 8 August.

But these ambitious plans have just been put on hold indefinitely.

Musk wants to make some design changes to the front of the taxi, which will take some time to implement.

For anyone who can’t wait, head to Las Vegas, where Zoox’s driverless taxis are already in action.
