This carer, who had just experienced the most challenging six months of his life, won a Porsche 911 GT3.

It was all thanks to a prize draw that he entered for less than a dollar.

The win came at a pivotal time for the man who had been dealt a tough hand.

So, what was his reaction when he received it?

A Porsche is any gearhead’s dream car

With an amazing line of cars to choose from, it’s no wonder people love Porsche.

To stay on top, Porsche is even willing to pay Americans to switch from a Tesla Model S to a Taycan.

The company has even said that it is considering building a new gas-powered SUV, but not before 2030.

However, Porsche’s flashy fleet comes with a price tag that not everyone can afford to splurge out on.

This carer got lucky and won a Porsche in a prize draw

This carer didn’t buy his Porsche 911 from a showroom – instead, he struck it lucky.

REALLY lucky.

It was all facilitated by prize draw company BOTB who has previously gifted lucky entrants big prizes, including cash and other cars, including a Tesla.

But, when former tradesman Sean Pitkin entered, he had no idea that he would actually win.

Of course, that’s kinda the way with these things.

He had experienced the toughest six months of his life

Sean had previously given up his job to look after his dad, who was fighting stage-four cancer and needed some help.

So, the boost of morale and money was most definitely needed, with Sean himself stating that on the same day he’d received his last pay packet from his job.

As the win was unveiled to him, he was in shock at the Porsche that he was now able to call his own.

“No way. I’m a little shaky,” said the new winner.

The Porsche in question was a 2021 911 GT3

The best bit though? It only had 13,000 miles on the clock and it only cost him a grand total of 33 cents – the price of a ticket.

He described the win as a ‘game changer’

It really is an impressive car, with Porsche itself stating that ‘motorsport-tested design and maximum performance ensure it unwaveringly bridges the boundary between the racetrack and the road.’

We would definitely be happy with that win – especially from a ticket costing less than a single dollar – wouldn’t you?
