American rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) bought a brand new Ferrari F8 Tributo as a birthday present for his one-year-old son.

It’s the kind of gift you would expect anywhere but a one-year-old’s birthday party.

The Ferrari was the highlight of the event for most adults at the party.

The 27-year-old rapper and content creator certainly chose an intriguing present for his son, but who wouldn’t want a supercar?

DDG is not just a rapper but also a content creator who was able to turn a YouTube channel into an $8 million fortune.

He became a first-time father in December 2023 with ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey, the lead actress from the live-action Little Mermaid movie.

The two had broken up earlier this year but got together again to celebrate their son’s birthday.

And that’s when DDG brought out his big birthday present: a cherry red Ferrari F8 Tributo.

Just a few days ago, DDG was saying online that he didn’t know what to get his son, Halo.

He joked about getting him a Lamborghini and also announced that the party came with a $40,000 price tag.

A very expensive gift

If you add in the cost of a brand-new Ferrari F8 Tributo, he must have spent close to $400,000.

As unusual as it may be, his choice of a present has divided his followers.

While some praise him for buying such gifts for his kid, others criticize him for using the kid’s birthday as an excuse to treat himself.

However, he joked about it in a video, saying directly to the camera, “Is this for me or for Halo?”

It’s not the first time we have seen a father go above and beyond for their kids.

Only recently, another dad built a fully working wooden Lamborghini Sian Roadster for his son.
