This man bought a $112k Model S that Tesla said was dead – but he proved them wrong.
Due to a fault, the car wasn’t in working order and seemed completely useless.
But sheer determination and hard work meant that the Tesla received a new lease of life.
But just how did they do it?

Tesla is dominating giants in the EV sphere
Tesla, the EV company, is well known for making waves in the auto world.
In fact, one of its cars was even launched into space, and caused a bit of panic when it was spotted by an amateur astronomer.
Plus, one Cybertruck made headlines all around the world, including when one powered a whole gas station on its own after a tornado took out electricity in Houston – impressive, right?
Well, sometimes EVs also encounter issues, like this Model S.
Tesla said the Model S was a dead write off

When they took a look at the Tesla, it looked as though there was no saving the EV.
But, eager to prove them wrong, 2varish had a goal of fixing it up.
It wasn’t an easy journey, though, as when the car’s power was restored for a moment, the dreaded Service Mode reared its head.
Which, let’s face it, is less than ideal.
They planned to replace the motor

To get the car up and running once more, the plan was to give the Tesla a new lease of life by replacing the motor.
After figuring out the issues, making some modifications, and seeking advice from an expert, they replaced the motor and reassembled it.
But the real test was about to be if the car could actually run.
It was a success – and the car was fault code free
The Youtuber then took the Tesla out of service mode and took it out for a ride.
“We’ve got a running, driving Tesla everybody,” he excitedly said.
And, after their hard work, what was described as a ‘bargain basement performance EV’ actually was able to run and charge again.
They brought it back from the dead – what a full 360 turn, eh?
The New Tesla Model S is powerful
“The Model S Plaid has the quickest acceleration of any vehicle in production. Updated battery architecture for all Model S trims enables back-to-back track runs without performance degradation,” according to the car giant itself.
And if you can get it running, all the better!
Would you take a car ready to be binned on a transformation journey?
