Hollywood’s most famous cars go on show

From the DeLorean from Back to the Future to the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters, the Petersen Automotive Museum is expanding its collection of Hollywood's best.

If you’re a car lover or movie lover or both, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California is a must visit.

The museum houses famous cars, movie cars, concept cars, race cars, you name it they have it.

But its newest exhibit is catching the eye of everyone, not just car lovers.

The Petersen Automotive Museum has expanded its very popular “Hollywood Dream Machines: Vehicles of Science Fiction and Fantasy” exhibit also referred to as the “Cars of Film and Television”.

The staple of not only the exhibit, but the museum itself over the years has been the Batmobile of the Keaton films Batman and Batman Returns, but with this newly expanded exhibit, you get so many more famous movie cars and vehicles.

“Some vehicles used in television and movies have become just as popular as the stars themselves,” Petersen Automotive Museum Executive Director Terry L. Karges said.

“We are excited to display what are genuinely some of the most iconic vehicles from Hollywood’s long and storied history of film and television.”

The museum now has the Moto-Terminator motorcycle from Terminator Salvation, the Lexus LC500 that Black Panther drove on top of in Black Panther, the uni-cycle from Men in Black, the 1981 DeLorean “Time Machine” from Back to the Future, and the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor dubbed “Ecto-1″ from Ghostbusters.

While you’re there, be sure to check out the “Bond in Motion” exhibit which features vehicles used in the filming of James Bond through the years.
