It seems like Apple has been hard at work on the next big iOS 18 update coming this year, along with the iPhone 16 lineup.

Every year, the tech giant introduces a new operating software update to all its products but this year might be a little special.

A new leak suggests that this year’s iOS 18 update will be Apple’s most ‘ambitious and compelling’ update in years.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is updating one of the most important parts of the iPhone: the home screen.

If the reports are proven true, iOS 18 will give users greater control over the home screen.

iPhone users have already been able to customize their home screen since iOS 16.

With this reported iOS 18 update, users will get the same functionality for the home screen.

Gurman previously stated: “The new operating system is seen within the company as one of the biggest iOS updates—if not the biggest—in the company’s history.”

This is due to the new AI features that the company plans on adding to the iOS 18 update.

Even recently, Apple was in negotiations with Google to bring Gemini’s generative AI features to the iPhone.

Gurman also says that Apple will focus on ‘AI tools that help manage your daily life’ rather than AI features such as those from ChatGPT.

The iOS 18 might also include a significant upgrade of Siri with AI.

However, there are rumors that some of these AI features will be limited to Apple’s new iPhone 16 lineup.

Other iPhone 16 leaks suggest a brand-new button and an even better camera setup.
