An incredible 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary just sold at auction for $738,000 which is actually a bit of a bargain.

There’s a pretty good chance many of you reading this will have had a poster of one of these winged supercars on your wall as a kid.

It’s the same model and color used by Leonardo DiCaprio in this iconic scene in The Wolf of Wall Street.

The supercar is one of the most iconic in automotive history, which makes this sale more of a steal than $738k might seem.

Listed on Bring a Trailer with no reserve, the Lamborghini Countach had 45 bids.

A load of the 540-plus commenters on the listing were surprised by the sale price.

“This is a pretty distinctive Countach. They are all ‘special’, but this color combo is both rare, and in my view, quite beautiful,” wrote BaT user Fleche_dOr.

“I think the buyer got a little bit of a bargain, but not a crazy deal. I think the seller overestimated its value being 7 figures. Maybe one day, but not today.”

Being a ‘downdraft’ model fitted with special carburetors also made the price tag surprising.

It’s a very rare model in the US.

It’s also finished in a rarer color, Bianco Perlato, and has what should’ve been a value-adding VIN: 002.

Despite the globetrotting, it only shows 11,500km (7100mi) on the clock.
