Watch this 1250hp Lamborghini Huracan tow a Urus

If you want to tow one of your Lamborghinis with the other, you’re going to hitch the trailer to the Urus, right?

Not so if you’re Alex Choi, who opted to really put his Lamborghini Huracan to the test by pulling a 2200kg (4850lbs) Urus SUV with it.

Choi’s Huracan, of course, is far from stock. Twin-turbocharged and wearing a GT3 race car body kit, it’s actually a 1250hp monster.

The idea to tow with it came from Choi wondering: “What good is all that horsepower if you can’t legally use it on the road?”

Fitting the Huracan with a heavy-duty Class 4 trailer hitch, Choi headed down to U-Haul to rent a car trailer.

However, the Lamborghini Huracán, unsurprisingly, wasn’t an approved tow vehicle in U-Haul’s system.

After getting a friend with a pickup truck to hire the trailer instead, Choi then hitched it up to his Lambo and started by towing his Audi RS6.

(The trailer was too narrow for a Urus.)

Choi, like an absolute madman, also put a small pickup truck on the trailer and did burnouts with it attached.

But then they got their hands on a wider trailer.

He loaded on another Huracán and did the same thing again.

Finally, he managed to get the Urus hitched up behind his Huracán, making for some seriously spectacular shots.

When asked how fast he could go with it on, Choi claimed that “at 65mph, it was doing a little sway”.

That’s perhaps unsurprising to hear with 3400kg (7500lbs) towed behind a Huracán of all cars.

If you are after more Huracán news, you are in luck.

Lamborghini recently announced the new Huracan Tecnica.

The Tecnica takes its naturally-aspirated engine from the track-focused Huracán STO, meaning it’s more of a beast than the Huracán EVO.

“The Tecnica completes the Huracán line-up, sitting perfectly between the RWD and the track-focused STO, flawlessly presenting technology, performance and the Huracán’s V10 aspirated engine in a dramatically evolved design,” Automobili Lamborghini chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said.

The Huracán Tecnica is 6.1 cm longer than the Huracán EVO, but it is the same height and width.

Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica specs
