And, once he had a peek, it was safe to safe he was impressed.

But was the car road ready and safe to drive in the UK straight away?

Everyone loves a Toyota

A Toyota is often a choice for many people’s daily drivers

In fact, one woman racked up views on TikTok for noticing everyone in Montana is driving the same Toyota model.

And, they’re also trendsetters too, as a 2004 Toyota concept was the first-ever hybrid supercar, and it had a pretty jaw-dropping range.

The Toyota that this man acquired though, really was something special.

The car in question was a Toyota Century V12

Now, these cars are a very rare sight in the UK, which makes the snap-up even more impressive.

It was imported from Japan after Mat Watson Cars grabbed it, but the real condition wouldn’t be revealed until it arrived.

‘Japan’s Rolls-Royce’

Yes, Mat was so impressed with the car that he made the bold claim of it being ‘Japan’s Rolls Royce’.

And, after seeing the car, he wasn’t far wrong.

The car was over 10 years old and in immaculate condition, and passed the service with flying colors.

In addition, the chassis only had a little bit of rust in a small space – so it was quite literally picture-perfect.

All for the small sum of $15,121 (£11,700).

It had to undergo checks to drive on UK Roads

Most cars that are imported over to the UK need to undergo tests including an IVA, or Individual Vehicle Approval.

According to the UK Government, there are two levels of the test: basic and normal.

The ‘Basic IVA involves a visual inspection and other tests to make sure the vehicle meets the necessary standards’, where as the normal ‘ involves a more detailed inspection’.

But, due to the Century being over a decade old, it was actually all okay, all Mat did was replace the battery.

The interior was suave too, with wool seats, thick carpet, a DVD player, and even an entertainment system along with the reclining seats – talk about traveling in style.

He had one final adjustment for his Toyota

To really make the car his own, Mat even purchased himself some new license plates that read ‘V12 SHT’.

Get it? Due to the make of the Toyota?

Take a look at Mat’s exciting unveiling of his Toyota Century V12 below – he really was like a kid in a candy store.
