Love it or hate it – this footage taken in the US state of Florida showing a Tesla Cybertruck rescuing another off-road vehicle from mud is pretty impressive.

A Toyota pickup is seen struggling in a muddy hole.

Despite being a capable off-roader, the Toyota gets stuck fast.

However, the Tesla Cybertruck tackles the sticky obstacle and pulls it free, no problem.

The off-road rescue

The video was shared by Cybertruck enthusiast and owner, Andrew Hodgdon, on the Tesla Cybertruck Facebook Group.

The Toyota pickup appears to have become stuck in a deep mud puddle – despite being an off-roader.

Despite taking three attempts to cross it, the Cybertruck eventually conquers the mud puddle.

The EV owner shared further videos revealing that there were – in fact – 10 vehicles in total traveling along the trail.

However, not all the vehicles were able to keep up.

In particular, an off-road modded Toyota pickup truck was stuck in the obstacle.

However, it seemed to take barely any effort at all for the Cybertruck to pull the combustion-powered vehicle free and get it back on track.

This isn’t the first time the Cybertruck demonstrated real pulling power, as it rescued a Ford F150 out of a snow mound earlier this year.

The EV pickup proved itself while undergoing challenges on social media – like how far it can go towing 11,000lbs.

That’s despite EVs in general having a bit of trouble in during cold snaps.

How the Cybertruck did it

As always with the controversial EV, online reaction was mixed.

While some lavished praise on the EV’s abilities, others claimed that a gas-powered sedan could have crossed the treacherous terrain.

It’s noteworthy that the only other vehicle that managed it was a lifted Jeep Wrangler on 37-inch tires.

So how did the Tesla do it? First, it’s equipped with the model’s generic 285/65 mud terrain tires.

The owner also noted that he put the EV on Overland Mode’s All Purpose, Very High setting, plus Wade Mode.

That ought to do it.
