Adin Ross lost out on his dream home, because of Lionel Messi.

The streamer revealed yesterday that he took the athlete on in a bidding war, and Messi came out on top.

When it comes to bidding on expensive things, Messi is not one to back down.

He won an iconic Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti at an auction once.

And he did so by outbidding none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

More recently the footballer had his eyes on a mansion in Miami.

And it turns out he and Adin Ross have the same expensive taste.

Ross is famously flash with his cash.

Earlier this year he bought his bodyguard a brand-new Lamborghini and his cameraman a Tesla Model X.

So naturally when looking for a house the streamer wanted to go big.

He found his dream mansion in Miami and put in an offer.

But his offer was soon rejected.

“I got outbid by a very, very famous athlete,” he revealed on a Kick live-stream.

He stated that out of respect for Messi’s privacy he wouldn’t share the photos he has of the interior of house.

At least for now.

“In a month’s time I might do it,” he said.

Ross has been house-hunting for a while now, but said it’s been ‘impossible’ to find a house that he liked.

“Now I’m going to have to build my own house,” he said

After his revelation the internet was quick to point out that maybe Ross was punching above his pay bracket.

Messi is, after all, one of the highest paid athletes in the world.

Then again, Ross is one of the richest streamers in the world, with a net worth of around $35 million.

He also owns five luxury cars, including a Lamborghini Urus of his own.

“It’s not about me being broke,” Ross said.

“I just didn’t get there in time.”
