Boeing cargo plane forced to land on its nose after front landing gear fails mid-flight

Dramatic footage caught the moment a Boeing 767 cargo plane was forced to land on its nose after its landing gear failed to deploy.

The FedEx-owned plane was flying from Paris to Istanbul in May 2024 when the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at Istanbul Airport after he noticed that the front landing gear had failed to open.

Footage shows plumes of smoke billowing from the plane, with sparks flying in the background as the front of the plane scrapes the runway.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, and the onboard crew were able to safely evacuate the plane.
