The facelifted 2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8 no longer has a unique dashboard feature a lot of people hated, and even more people loved.
Or maybe it was the other way around.
Still, it doesn’t matter anymore because Chevy decided to go back to basics and just change things around.
There are also a couple of things worth mentioning, but we’ll get into that.

Chevrolet revolutionized the Corvette with the launch of the C8 model around six years ago.
It was unveiled at a media event in 2019 in California – the convertible came a few months later – and then showcased at the LA Auto Show the same year.
Coincidentally, the author of this article actually attended the show, and people’s reactions when they saw the mid-engined shape, a first for Corvette, were extraordinary.
Everyone knew about it because Chevy had already made it clear during the first announcement earlier that year, but seeing it in person was something else.
Then, about two seconds later, those same people opened the door and noticed the dashboard and center console were tilted towards the driver.

They first thing they saw was a row of buttons stacked vertically next to the driver, which is not unheard of in supercars.
This made the cabin very driver-oriented, which was cool, but it made it tricky for the passenger to make adjustments, which was less cool.
Chevy decided to change that and completely rearranged the layout.

Most buttons are now placed horizontally, right below the 12.8-inch screen, which is also a lot larger now considering it used to be just 8 inches.
Also, the drive mode selector has been changed from a knob to a simpler toggle switch.
Also also, the digital dashboard is bigger – 14 inches rather than 12.
And also also also, there’s a new 6.6-inch screen right next to the door with additional vehicle information.

The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8 is also available with five new colors for the interior.
You now have Jet Black and Adrenaline Red; Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents; Santorini Blue; Very Dark Atmosphere; and Ultimate Suede.
And there are new colors for the exterior as well.
There’s more good news because remote ignition, the feature that stops people posing with the car, is still available.
