An Emirates Airbus A380 just landed with so much power it blasted the standing water off a rain-soaked runway as it touched down.

The wheels hit, the engines spool, and the entire downpour erupts into walls of spray on both sides.

Even in slow motion, you can see how effortlessly the jet forces the weather out of its way.

And when it lines up for departure, that wing-vapor take-off feels like the natural encore to an already massive display of engineering.
