There’s going to be some seriously expensive metal going under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s Arizona auction on January 26.

Included on the list of one-of-a-kind automobile lots is this 2012 Aston Martin V12 Zagato.

Just one of 61 road-going examples built, the incredibly rare supercar is bound to get significant interest on the day.

The V12 Zagato has handcrafted aluminum bodywork complete with “double bubble” roof and comes equipped with a 120-liter endurance racing fuel tank.

V12 Zagato number 037 is finished in Alloro Green metallic, accented by many carbon fiber features, from the prominent rear wing to the rearview mirrors.

Even the grille is worthy of close inspection, composed of interlocking Zagato “Z” logos.

The Obsidian Black interior features leather upholstery with a flowing pattern highlighted by contrasting stitching.

This intricate design covers the seats, car door, and even the headliner.

Endurance racer

Beneath the hood is a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 generating 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.

It’s good for 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds and a 306 km/h (190 mph) top speed.

To reign in the performance, carbon-ceramic brakes are fitted all round.

All models have a rear mid-mounted, six-speed manual transmission.

The car is offered with a suite of delivery accessories, including two glass keys and one spare key, books, umbrella, battery charger, and car cover.

Accrued mileage is very limited, with the odometer displaying just 2,580 kilometers (1,603 miles) from new.

Although 101 examples were planned, only 65 Aston Martin V12 Zagatos were made.

That number includes two prototype race cars, two prototype road cars, and 61 production road cars.

It’s believed that there are only four examples of this car in the United States.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato price

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is rarer than the mighty Aston Martin hypercar One-77.

Therefore, it’s expected to fetch a significant amount when it goes under the hammer next month.

If previous auction sale prices are anything to go by, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato could go for more than $800,000.

Update: Surprisingly, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato didn’t sell when it went to auction but is still being offered for $800,000 asking.
