In New York, there are some cars racking up a disproportionate amount of speeding tickets – and one Audi driver has more than 1,000.

This equals thousands of dollars, by the way, so these driving offences don’t come cheap.

You’d think that would be enough to push some of these serial speedsters to pump the brakes a little.

But no, this Audi driver is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

This Audi driver has more than 1,000 speeding tickets

Data released by advocacy group Transportation Alternatives and Families for Safe Streets illustrated the extent of the issue.

Of the 10 drivers with the most school-zone speed camera violations in New York State, the most prolific received 259.

On average, each driver earned 179 tickets in 2025.

That sounds like an awful lot, right?

Well, there’s one car that makes all those other speedsters look like rookies by comparison.

We are, of course, talking about the driver of a 2023 Audi A6, who racked up more than 1,000 speed-camera tickets since the middle of 2023.

The driver has already paid $63,000 in fines, but that hasn’t put a halt to their speeding spree.

For two years in a row, this car has been the state’s top speeder – not an honorable time by any stretch.

Other cars with considerable charges included a 2017 Lexus IS ($20,000) and a 2024 Honda Passport ($31,000).

You don’t want to get caught speeding

The fact that speeding is dangerous and illegal should be enough of an incentive to stop.

But as if those perfectly valid reasons weren’t enough, there’s also the fact that speeding tickets can be very expensive.

In New York City, there was one Mercedes driver who accumulated six figures worth of tickets.

Even a multimillionaire can feel the squeeze – if his ticket costs him $142,000, that is.

Believe it or not, one fine even cost a driver more than $1 million.

So if public safety and legality aren’t enough to deter you, at least think of your bank balance.
