A new report by FOX31 Denver has been released, showing what it is like inside the areas you’re not allowed to enter in an Airbus A380 – this isn’t just any old plane, it’s the world’s largest passenger plane.
The reporter saw all of the classic passenger-facing parts of the airplane, including the first-class sections and the coach-class seating, but he also got a better look at the parts of the plane that people never get to see.
The gigantic Airbus A380 carries 509 passengers and weighs over a million pounds fully loaded, and can hold a quarter of a million pounds of jet fuel.
The airplane is so popular that it even has superfans that crowd around it and watch it, not even taking off, but even just watching it parked on the runway tarmac.

Uncovering the secrets of the world’s largest passenger plane
Sometimes you see an airplane that is just not like any other plane you’ve ever seen, and this Airbus 380 is truly spectacular due to its sheer size.
This particular Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger plane, and it’s currently operating between Denver, Colorado, and Munich, Germany on non-stop flights over the summer.
The flights to Europe have been so popular that they’ve been extended longer than the intended summer run, and the gigantic Airbus A380 has gained a small army of superfans.
The gigantic Airbus A380 carries 509 passengers in total and weighs over a million pounds fully loaded, and can hold a quarter of a million pounds of jet fuel – it requires a crew of 21 people, which is a huge amount.
This reporter from FOX31 Denver got the chance to see behind the scenes inside the world’s largest passenger airplane, not just the passenger-facing areas like the seats, but also some parts hidden away from the public eye.

Inside the areas you’re not allowed to enter in an Airbus A380
While the reporter was allowed to look at both the coach-class seating and the higher-class areas inside the passenger-facing areas, it was the less public parts that were the most fascinating.
Just the wheel wells themselves are shockingly roomy, larger than some apartments in Denver, and are completely closed off to the public.
A plane of this size requires a truly gargantuan cargo hold; it has to be packed with thousands of pounds of luggage, and the reporter could walk through it like it’s a large room.
The modern cockpit is a particular favorite of pilots because nothing feels as good as flying the world’s biggest airliner.
Sadly, this Airbus A380 won’t be around forever, despite all of its fame and popularity, because airlines are moving toward smaller, more efficient airplane designs.
