Hundreds of passengers on an Emirates flight to Dubai had no clue that millions of dollars of carbon fiber and a WR16 engine were beneath their feet, as a video of a Bugatti Chiron being loaded has gone viral.
Given most suercars are born in central or southern Europe, delivering them around the globe is no easy feat.
Usually, they are loaded onto huge air freights and flown around the globe in mass numbers.
But more and more people are now using commercial airlines to take their beloved vehicles to new homes, particularly out in Dubai.

Bugatti Chiron gets VIP escort to Dubai from Emirates
Famed UAE company Emirates has quite a reputation for escorting high-value cargo around the world, as wacky as having its cabin overrun with 80 falcons.
But the company is also renowned for shipping supercars to the Middle East, previously housing the ultra-rare $25M McLaren F1 chassis #009 on a trip to Dubai.
Now, a recent video has gone viral, showcasing a Bugatti Chiron getting a VIP escort through the skies.

The Bugatti Chiron was reportedly leaving Nice, France, presumably after residing in the nearby country of Monaco.
The video shows the supercar being transferred on a flatbed, before the secure loading platform was slipped into the belly of the Emirates beast.
The transfer of this precious cargo was likely done before any passengers boarded, meaning they wouldn’t have known that the $2.5 million car was meters under their feet.
Bugatti prefers to drive than to fly
Bugatti and flying aren’t a relationship that usually goes hand-in-hand. Not at least in the 21st century – back in the day, the company used to supply plane engines, but not for decades.
That’s because the French manufacturers are usually racing supercars against jets.
Previously, the Bugatti Chiron Sport and the Dassault Rafale Marine fighter jet had a drag race to commemorate an aviation partnership that saw the creation of a one-off Les Légendes du Ciel model.

But, there’s no denying that away from the drag strip, planes are quicker than even the fastest car in the world, and it would be no surprise to see more boarded onto Emirates flights in the future.
