A runway became an unlikely playground for some of the world’s most exclusive cars as a huge collection of Bugatti hypercars and other spectacular supercars arrived for a very special event.
The scene included a private jet, a huge crowd and a lineup of Bugattis that looked more at home on a billionaire’s garage floor than next to an airport terminal.
Around 70 rare, high-performance and luxury cars took part in the event as part of the Concurso de Elegancia Costa del Sol.
And judging by the incredible lineup, there was plenty of automotive eye candy to go around.
This runway got a very expensive makeover
The event took place in Gibraltar, the British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula.
It marked the first time the Concurso de Elegancia Costa del Sol had expanded to Gibraltar, with the Joshua Hassan Gibraltar International Airport runway temporarily transformed into a track for the exclusive gathering.
The event was invitation-only, with around 70 cars making the trip, covering everything from modern hypercars and supercars to classic and motorsport machines.
We can spot a Koenigsegg Jesko, a Porsche 911 GT1 and even a Mercedes-AMG ONE, but the show was particularly stolen by a large group of beautiful Bugattis.

The image from the event gives a pretty good idea of just how wild the scene was.
A line of seriously expensive cars is parked directly in front of a private aircraft, while spectators, event staff and security surround the supercars.
11 Bugattis make a seriously expensive lineup
The Concurso has a particularly close relationship with Bugatti, which returned as a major partner for the 2026 event.
The official event gallery lists an impressive collection of Bugattis among the participating cars, including the Bolide, Chiron, Centodieci, Divo, Profilée, Veyron and Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
That’s quite a lineup when you consider what some of these cars are worth.

For example, the Chiron Pur Sport originally started at $3.3 million before taxes, while the Chiron Super Sport 300+ carried a $3.9 million price tag. The Tourbillon, meanwhile, starts at $4.2 million and is limited to just 250 examples.
That means a gathering containing multiple Bugattis can very quickly turn into a multimillion-dollar spectacle.
And this particular event had plenty more than Bugattis to keep collectors interested.
It wasn’t just about the Bugatti hypercars
The Concurso de Elegancia Costa del Sol is designed as a celebration of some of the most interesting and collectible cars ever built, with categories spanning hypercars, restomods, vintage supercars, pre-war classics, post-war classics and racing cars.
The 2026 event also included a private track day at the Ascari circuit, while Gibraltar’s airport runway provided a completely different setting for the cars to stretch their legs.
There was even another rather expensive machine in the background.
Organizers said Bombardier flew a new private aircraft to Gibraltar specifically for the event, creating the rather spectacular combination of private jet and multimillion-dollar hypercars seen in the post by content creator stefan_katafai.
For aviation and car fans watching from around Gibraltar, it must have been quite the sight.
After all, you don’t often get to see a runway temporarily transformed into a supercar show, especially when the cars taking part could collectively be worth many millions of dollars.
