This is the true cost of this Tesla Model 3 after it has been owned for seven years

There’s no hiding that there has been a recent shift of many drivers switching from gas-powered cars to EVs, thanks to a variety of economic and environmental factors.

But, for drivers wanting to snap up a Tesla Model 3, research has to be done, which is exactly where this creator comes in handy.

YouTuber CallasEV is no stranger to sharing her thoughts on the Model 3.

In fact, we visited her last year for her six-year ownership update.

Now, though, she’s back for more, with the facts and figures of what the 2018 EV has cost her this year.

“This car is now seven years old and is approaching 149,000 miles, which means 16,000 miles were added over the course of the year.”

But there was a catch: the warranty was no longer in play, which means that all of the extra maintenance had to be paid for.

During the course of the year, the EV needed new tires, which set her back $1,207.60, with the alignment costing $117.12.

Plus, the condenser and radiator were also treated to a cleaning for $258, which brought the total cost to $1,582.72.

Other subsequent outlays also included the center console being upgraded for $100, along with an aftermarket adapter that cost $7.22.

When it comes to power, the total ‘fuel’ cost, as the creator described it, came to $489 – not bad really.

Over the car’s lifetime, though, without including tire rotations, the creator says the car has so far cost a total of $4,018,55.

Want to save money? The Model 3 may be your answer

Don’t just take this creator’s word for owning the Tesla Model 3; other drivers have also praised the EV, too.

In fact, one driver praised the Long Range version and called it an ‘absolute dream’ after trips such as California to Seattle helped him rack up 13,561 miles.

Plus, a 2021 Tesla Model 3 that was used as an Uber sstill showed potential after traveling 255,000 miles – talk about reliability.
