This guy bought the cheapest twin-turbo V12 Mercedes, even though it was in a bad way, and made it into a fast and stylish supercar.
The YouTuber sold a Harley-Davidson motorbike to buy a Mercedes CL600 from the 2000s, and it had a lot of potential because it was only a one-owner car with a clean title.
He had big plans for the car, including tuning it up to get it from regular 500HP up to a supercar-worthy 800HP.
This twin-turbo V12 Mercedes had the potential to be so much more, despite being old and high-maintenance; it just needed a bit of TLC.

This guy decided to drop $6,000 on a 2005 Mercedes CL600 car because it looked like it could be a real bargain.
The awesome little auto came with a clean title, was mostly serviced at Mercedes, and only had one previous owner, so it came with just 117,000 miles on the clock.
He thought it was the perfect basis for a car to heavily modify and push beyond its usual boundaries. For instance, tuning it up from 500HP to 800HP.
When he saw his new car, he could tell it was suffering from some pretty severe maintenance issues in the form of multiple leaks, like oil, power-steering fluid, and transmission fluid.
This model of car is old and, therefore, high-maintenance. But, they are sold cheaply, so this came across as a hidden gem in the luxury market, despite its mechanical issues.
The Mercedes also came with a suede headliner, panoramic roof, and ABC suspension, which is impressive technology for 2005.

The ABC suspension was amazing, but costly and unreliable to fix, however, the YouTuber at Backspeed Stories thought it was worth the time and investment.
He also performed a performance tune to boost horsepower output and used custom piping to amplify the V12’s roar.
In his test drive, he realized he had turned his cheap twin-turbo V12 Mercedes into a supercar beast, and his $6,000 bargain suddenly became a $150,000 treat.
