New Chinese SUV can lift one of its own wheels to help you change the tire and still drive on just three wheels

This Chinese SUV can help you change the tires by lifting one of its wheels, while still being capable of driving on the remaining three.

The Denza B8, sold in China as the Fangchengbao Bao 8, is a plug-in hybrid full-size SUV manufactured by BYD.

As the largest model from the Fangchengbao brand, it’s a formidable car, but it also has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Namely the ability to drive on three wheels, which comes in handy.

Sick of changing tires? This Chinese SUV will help you out

A video has been doing the rounds on social media in which the Bao 8 was shown lifting up one of its wheels, before proceeding to drive on the remaining three.

It was a remarkable sight, made possible by BYD’s DiSus-P Ultra suspension system.

This allows each wheel to have its own independent hydraulic control, allowing each corner of the car to be adjusted independently.

Some online have likened it to a robot, and it’s hard to argue with them.

It’s as if each of the car’s wheels is a separate limb on some sort of crawling cyborg.

Lifting the one wheel is impressive enough, but seeing the car drive on three wheels is a whole new level.

This makes tire changing a total dream, negating the need for lifting equipment.

How brands like BYD are dominating the car world right now

This latest innovation is just another feather in the cap of BYD, a brand that has been going from one success story to another.

Whether it’s withstanding the force of a 141ft palm tree or surpassing Tesla as the world’s biggest EV seller, the Chinese company seems to riding a wave of great press recently.

It’s no wonder that there’s talk of other manufacturers being worried.

A boat carrying BYD cars into Australia has led one YouTube channel to suggest that Toyota’s top spot in the country is at risk.

Tesla is also feeling the pressure, with BYD outselling them in countries across the world from Europe to South America.
