This Colorado Cybertruck owner says going from a Ford F-150 to a Tesla is like going from a typewriter to a laptop.
The EV driver made the comparison after he purchased Full Self-Driving mode for his truck as part of a promotion.
But, he revealed that it wasn’t needed as the truck was simply a pleasure to drive.
In fact, he revealed that making the leap from other pickups was a big upgrade.

Cybertruck owner compares the Ford F-150 with Tesla truck
When this Cybertruck owner bought a 2025 AWD truck from Tesla, he also bought Tesla’s Full Self-Driving mode.
But he admitted this purchase was a mistake.

He explained that the truck was a blast to drive, without the Full Self-Driving addition.
“My wife described it like going from a typewriter to a laptop. Technically, a F150 or Tundra does the same basic things, but nowhere near with this capability and ease of use,” the user, Steelheart, said on the Cybertruck Owner’s Club Forum.
He also explained that he thought the asking price of $80,000 was high, but after driving it around for a few weeks, he said that it was a ‘fair price for the leap forward this truck is’.
The Cybertruck also has other impressive elements too, including its 366-mile range.
While some drivers might not value it, Tesla said it was there to ‘take care of the most stressful parts of daily driving’.
Tesla’s FSD is available in Mexico, Puerto Rico, China, the US, and Canada.

The Cybertruck is being put to some DIY testing
The Cybertruck marked the company’s first EV pickup release, and it’s proving to be a force to be reckoned with.

From off-roading to impressive range, Tesla says the truck can do it all.
But owners aren’t taking Tesla’s word for it, they’re putting the truck to the test themselves.
Take this Canadian guy, for example, who put the Tesla Cybertruck against a Chevy Silverado in an ultimate towing competition.
Or these guys who pitted the Cybertruck against the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado in a tug-of-war for the ages.
Some owners are even giving their Cybertrucks extreme modifications to help them stand out even more on the roads.
