A Chinese vacuum cleaner company called Dreame wants to compete with the likes of Rimac and Bugatti with a new EV hypercar.
According to Dreame, this’ll be the fastest car in the world.
The company made the announcement a few days ago, and now it has released render images for the hypercar.
It looks familiar, doesn’t it?

Bugatti won’t be happy about this
Simply called EV, the upcoming hypercar looks shockingly similar to the Bugatti Chiron.
It looks a bit longer, and it kind of looks like it has four doors, but other than that, it’s exactly like a Chiron.
We can’t wait to hear what Bugatti has to say about that.

Dreame said the idea is to build the fastest car in the world.
And they’re serious about it.
The Chinese vacuum cleaner company has been on a hiring spree, recruiting hundreds of engineers to work on this project.
If everything goes to plan, the hypercar will be ready in 2027.

Dreame wants to succeed where Dyson ‘failed’
Dyson, also a vacuum cleaner company, spent a fortune on an electric car that never saw the light of day.
The company eventually abandoned the project, following the old mantra that you should never ‘throw good money after bad’.
For the same reason, Apple canceled the Apple car because both Apple and Dyson realized it was never going to be profitable.
Now, Dreame wants to succeed where Dyson failed and successfully turn itself into a car company.

The fact of the matter is that an electric car has a lot more in common with home appliances than with a car from 50 years ago.
More importantly, the electric motor you need to power a car is remarkably similar (with due proportions, of course) to the small electric motors that power smart robot vacuum cleaners.
That’s why tech companies are joining the party and building cars, from Huawei to Xiaomi, and even Sony.
We can’t wait for the Amazon Alexa car or the Samsung Galaxy car.
