Emirates is set to change the game when it comes to commercial flights after announcing it will offer free, super high-speed Starlink WiFi across its entire fleet.
Currently, if you want to stay connected while flying, Emirates offers WiFi packages that can be purchased on board.
However, all of that is set to change with the introduction of free super-fast WiFi thanks to Starlink.
The airline says it will deploy Starlink WiFi across its whole fleet, beginning with its Boeing 777 aircraft this month.

Super fast Starlink WiFi is coming to the entire Emirates fleet
Emirates Airlines’ fleet is made up of more than 230 aircraft, and every one of them is set to be equipped with SpaceX’s Starlink WiFi by mid-2027.
To give folks a taster of what’s to come, Emirates is currently showcasing a Boeing 777-300ER fitted with ultra-fast Starlink Wi-Fi at the Dubai Airshow.

The service will offer passengers ground-quality internet while cruising at altitudes of up to 40,000 feet.
The ultra-fast connection will allow you to stream videos, play games, and make video calls to your nearest and dearest, all without interruption.
As well as offering impressive speeds, the service will be entirely free to use.
In a statement, the airline explained that it will be fitting out 14 aircraft per month with Starlink.
Its 777s will be the first to be kitted out with Starlink connectivity, and Emirates said it is‘primed to install two antennae’ on each plane.
After which, a similar process will begin on its fleet of Airbus A380s, but this time an ‘industry-first’ three antennae will be used.
“Partnering with Starlink is another defining moment in our continuous commitment to ensuring our customers ‘fly better’,” Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark said.
“We’re introducing the world’s fastest Wi-Fi, elevating what passengers can expect from in-flight connectivity, like seamless productivity, real-time communication with loved ones, and uninterrupted connection to their digital lives.”
The airline is making some big changes to its fleet

The introduction of Starlink to its fleets coincides with what Emirates boss Sir Tim Clark has hailed as ‘the most ambitious cabin refurbishment programme in aviation’.
In total, almost 200 of its aircraft will be retrofitted, with updates to the fleet including brand new premium economy cabins, an enhanced business class, and a ‘refreshed’ first class.
It’s also set to introduce a ‘next-generation, fully immersive in-flight entertainment system’ and multiple charging ports in every seat.
