Going on a road trip is arguably one of the best things about owning a car, and one Audi EV owner decided to really put their new vehicle to the test.

However, compared to traveling long distances in gas-powered cars, users of EVs have a few more factors to think about.

From charging spots to range estimates, keeping the battery powered isn’t as simple as spending a few minutes getting gas.

So, one driver really revealed how their flashy SUV fared, and you may just be surprised.

This EV went on a road trip

Everybody loves testing out a new car purchase, and what better way than going on a road trip?

One EV owner shared their first-ever rendezvous on the road in their EV online, and after assessing some factors, it’s safe to say that they were impressed.

A picture of the EV’s dashboard was attached to the post, which showed that the vehicle had a 3.6 miles per kilowatt-hour average.

“Considering I was running the A/c and cruising at 75mph for a while, I don’t think that’s bad.

“Two quick charges for 20 mins. Adaptive cruise worked great. Overall, good experience. Now charging for free at the hotel,” explained the user.

The vehicle in question was a 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron 55 Premium, but more on that later.

After other gearheads saw the stats online, it was clear the Audi was the star of the show, in more ways than one.

“Did 1k miles in a day in my 24 e-tron GT. Was indeed awesome. My first EV road trip too, glad it was the etron, my previous EV (23 Nissan Leaf) would not have made the trek as easily,” said one user.

“I was gonna comment that this is great for an OG/Q8, then saw the Q4. Carry on,” added another.

“You drove 276 miles in a single charge?” asked a third.

So, even other drivers were astonished at the car, and after you see what it’s capable of, you will be too.

Here’s how the Audi Q4 impressed the EV owner

The Audi Q4 electron 55 Premium boasts 335hp and can hit 0-60 in just five seconds.

The EV also comes complete with an 82 kWh battery capacity, and whilst those stats are for the 2026 model, the 2024 edition wouldn’t have been far off.

In fact, according to Audi itself, the 2024 model had the same levels of horsepower, but this version featured a new electric motor, alongside boasting a range of 258 miles.

TCD even reported that the average kWh was higher than most standard EVs.

Plus, inside the Audi, things got even more interesting, with a plush cabin and high-tech dash.

You have to admit, to have those stats after a 376-mile trip is no mean feat – and we bet, as it was the first road trip with the Audi, the owner will be planning many more in the near future.
