This man says he probably got the Facebook Marketplace buy of the year after buying an abandoned plane – a Cessna 414 – that’s not even airworthy.
It’s a 1975 Cessna 414, and it’s in decrepit condition.
This is actually the second plane that’s not airworthy this guy bought.
So right off the bat the one we know about this guy is he has a sense of humor.

Will this abandoned plane ever fly again?
Jimmy Webb, from the Jimmys World YouTube channel, said he had to drive a very long way to see this plane in person, which probably made the whole experience even worse.
There are several issues with the plane, starting with the fact that the ad was inaccurate.
When he finally got to see the plane in person, Jimmy realized it was in worse condition that it looked in the pictures, especially the interior.
He further added that the Facebook Marketplace listing mentioned the plane had last been inspected in 2021 but, based on what he’s seeing, this was probably not true either.
But the biggest problem is the airplane is described as not airworthy.
There are two ways to interpret this.
Because if it’s not technically airworthy, ‘all’ it takes is a lot of cash, a lot of time and even more patience.
But if it’s not legally airworthy, then there’s nothing much to do.
Well, he can always convert it into an RV, which is what he did with another famous (and famously not airworthy) plane he bought.
This guy owns *that* Elvis Presley’s plane
Jimmy Webb is the guy that famously bought Elvis Presley’s jet at auction for less than $250,000.
Right after buying it, he managed to fire it up, but he quickly realized fixing it would’ve cost about $5 million, and that was the good news.
The bad news is the plane was never going to be able to fly again for legal reasons.
This is why he decided to turn it into an RV.
It still cost him a lot, but he got it done, and he actually did it in record time.
Believe it or not he’s now actually using it.
