Ferrari is reportedly set to bring back an iconic feature.
The last decade’s worth of Ferraris have really upped the ante in terms of luxury and speed.
Since the release of the California in 2012, Ferraris have all been automatic.
But that could be about to change, as reports suggest that the iconic shift sticks are coming back.

Ferrari is reportedly bringing back manual shifters
Ferrari supercars have been automatic since 2012, even the upgraded T version ditched the Manual boxes in favor of the seamless automatic transmissions.
But according to Car Sales, Ferrari is planning to switch things up.
Chief Product Development boss, Gianmaria Fulgenzi, reportedly took to a media roundtable following a quarterly earnings call to discuss it.

“In Formula 1, it’s 2.3 seconds for zero to 100km/h. With the SF90 XX, we are at more or less 2.5 seconds or 2.4 seconds, and that’s with four-wheel drive.”
But he revealed that with such speeds achieved in the supercars, not every person wants the peak acceleration and the neck training that comes with its G-force.
He said manual gearboxes could be the answer.
“In terms of mechanical gear changes, it’s something that could be in the future, depending on the product,” he added.

As for which cars, he ruled out it was already in the works for announced projects like the 2026 F80 or the unnamed EV.
“Probably an Icona car, because it’s a car that represents our heritage – a car to be admired and to be driven in a certain way,” Fulgenzi said.
Already, people are speculating that the modern F40 project, under the wings of Lewis Hamilton, could be thrown into this mix too.
Currently, there are only three models in the Ferrari Icona series, with the specialist SP3 being reserved for the likes of F1 drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, and Enzo Ferrari himself.
