Ferrari is a supercar manufacturer not afraid to innovate, but its latest reveal has absolutely nothing to do with its famous performance cars from Maranello.

While it’s been showing off the ‘Macarena wing’ in Formula 1, it turns out the Maranello-based company has a few more tricks up its sleeve.

The company has partnered with Philips and Med-Ex to open up a new medical diagnostics center for both employees of the company and those in the surrounding community.

It’s very different from what it usually offers, but Maranello is making sure it is doing this with all the high-quality technology it uses for its supercars.

This is why Ferrari has created a new medical center

The creation of this medical center is quite an important one.

It marks the first time a diagnostic center like this has been created by a company outside the healthcare sector in Italy.

But this isn’t just a gimmick for the supercar manufacturer.

Regional and local authorities worked with the Italian company to make sure it added to the existing public health system.

Perhaps its most important task is to provide mammography to women who are residing in the area.

This includes Maranello, Formigine, and Fiorano.

The company also wants it to strengthen cancer screening campaigns.

It also hopes to make regular examinations more available.

The company has gone all-in with this partnership.

When it comes to profits, the company says that it was never on its radar when it came to the new facility.

Why profits aren’t something the supercar manufacturer cares about

Ultimately, Ferrari wants to give back to the community.

That is why it hasn’t even thought about profits regarding the new medical center.

In fact, any surplus associated with the practice will be redistributed.

This will be done to boost medical and technical skills training.

Plus, some money will go into scholarships for physicians and healthcare providers.

The investment made here is very much part of a long-term aim for Maranello.

Some of the equipment in the facility includes a Total Body MRI, Spectral CT, and mammography with tomosynthesis.

There is also a digital radiography and DEXA bone densitometry.

Both employees and local residents are set to benefit from the new facility.
