Ferrari and McLaren are entering 2026 with two very different playbooks.
Ferrari is mixing hybrids, V12-powered grand tourers, and even its first full EV, while reviving some of its most iconic supercars.
McLaren is locked into hybrid performance, prioritizing lightweight engineering and rapid acceleration across its lineup.
Here is a breakdown of how both brands are shaping their next generation of performance cars.

Ferrari new models
Ferrari 849 Testarossa
Ferrari has revived the Testarossa supercar name with a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and three electric motors for around 1,050hp.
This hybrid replaced the SF90 Stradale and can reach more than 205 mph.
European deliveries are going to begin in mid-2026, with the US following later at higher prices due to tariffs.

Ferrari SC40
The one-off SC40 is based on the 296 GTB, and it pairs a powerful twin-turbo V6 engine with an electric motor for an impressive 819 horsepower.
Its design pays homage to the F-40, and the display model is currently showcased in Maranello.

12Cilindri Spider
The open-top 12Cilindri Spider uses a fancy 6.5-liter V12 engine producing about 830hp.
It keeps classic grand tourer proportions for a hit of nostalgia, and deliveries began earlier this year.

Ferrari Elettrica
Ferrari’s first completely electric model is a car that produces more than 1,100hp with a 122kWh battery and a crazy range of roughly 330 miles.
Production is yet to begin, but it is allegedly going to start in 2026 at Ferrari’s E-Building facility.

Additional 2025 updates
Ferrari was planning up to six new models in 2025, including Modificata versions of the Roma and SF90 and a high-performance 296 GTB variant, alongside its first full EV; however, none of them have been delivered yet.
McLaren new models
McLaren W1
McLaren’s flagship hybrid hypercar produces 1,258hp from a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine and an extra electric motor.
It accelerates from 0-124 mph in 5.8 seconds but is limited to a top speed of 217mph.

McLaren 750S Le Mans
Revealed at Monterey Car Week, this special edition celebrates McLaren’s 1995 Le Mans win.
It comes with exclusive paint and detailing based on the 750S original.

Artura Spider ‘States of Endurance’
This cool special edition is part of a broader endurance-themed lineup, joining the W1 and 750S Le Mans on a cross-country showcase from Monterey to Miami.

Core lineup updates
The 750S continues to lead the way with McLaren, with the special Spider variant being named Robb Report’s 2025 Car of the Year.
The Italian automaker is spreading across multiple segments at once, balancing electrification with classic V12 engine usage, while reviving historic nameplates.
The British automaker is taking a narrower but sharper path, focusing exclusively on developing hybrids.
Ferrari’s lineup shows greater variety but hasn’t been delivered to completion yet, while McLaren’s is more focused on delivering raw performance gains.
