The Fiat Topolino might just be the cutest tiny EV on the planet, and it’s already sparking plenty of conversation online.
With its toy-like proportions, low price tag, and wall-plug charging capability, the car feels like something out of a cartoon.
CarBuzz recently shared a video showcasing the quirky ride, with one person calling it ‘the most adorable little car you’ve ever seen’.
But while some are smitten, others aren’t quite sure whether it’s a stroke of genius or a laughable novelty.

This tiny EV is extremely basic
Carbuzz shared the video of the Fiat Topolino on TikTok, and it was certainly interestingly, to say the least.

Priced at just $10,000, the Topolino makes electric car ownership more accessible than ever.
This is around the same price range as BYD’s cheapest EV, which is about to launch in Europe.
Of course, BYD’s offering is still a full-sized car, albeit on the compact side, so you’re definitely getting more car for your buck with the Chinese carmaker.
The Topolino is incredibly basic, with a maximum capacity of two people, and lacking the most basic of modern amenities, like power windows.
In fact, the tiny EV is so small that it lacks a boot; not boot space, but an actual boot.
Instead of the traditional boot, all the car can offer is a rack at the back of the car, where you can presumably hang your belongings.

At its core, the Topolino is designed for city living.
It’s perfect for zipping down narrow European streets, sliding into parking spots where bigger cars wouldn’t stand a chance, and keeping running costs low.
Like other electric cars, it saves owners money on gas and routine maintenance, while also delivering a quieter ride and zero tailpipe emissions.
Sure, it’s not meant for long highway drives, but as a starter vehicle or urban commuter, it checks a lot of boxes.
Not everyone likes the Fiat Topolino
Of course, its looks and size are polarizing, and not everyone’s a fan.

“This looks like a drawing of a car,” said one commenter on TikTok.
Another worried that it wouldn’t stand a chance in the US, especially since American trucks have been getting bigger over the years.
“This car would be a pancake as soon as you drive past a Ford F-150 and they can’t even see you,” they said.
Still, fans argued its charm, affordability, and practicality could make it a big hit in the right markets.
Especially in Europe, where vehicles like the tiny Smart cars dominate tight city roads, the Fiat Topolino has the potential to make waves.
