This Florida man waited four years for his $524k Ferrari Purosangue order to arrive but ultimately decided to replace it with a $58k Tesla Model Y Performance.
Brooks Weisblat, the host of YouTube channel DragTimes, ordered the Purosangue with a $30,000 deposit.
But in the end, he opted to cancel his order and get his deposit back in favor of a Tesla Model Y Performance.
What prompted this last-minute charge of heart? A few things.

Why this Florida man replaced his $524k Ferrari Purosangue order
If you want prestige, you can’t do much better than the Ferrari Purosangue.
After all, if it’s good enough for Stormzy, Jake Paul, and the Dubai police, it’s good enough for the rest of us, right?
But for this YouTuber, he decided that it wasn’t quite what he wanted – even after waiting years for it to arrive.

He decided to move over to a Tesla Model Y Performance, which he felt had several advantages.
While the Purosangue had folding rear seats and underfloor storage, he said the Model Y had more storage space.
The lack of dashcam features on the Purosangue also posed an issue for him.
Whilst he described the car’s interior as ‘crazy good’, he noted some odd omissions like a lack of ambient lighting.

“No question about it, this is impressive,” Weisblat told his subscribers.
“[The Tesla] has ambient lighting, which is missing from the Purosangue which I find very very weird.”
He admitted the Model Y’s interior was ‘basic’, but he didn’t see that as a bad thing – there was still Alcantara and vegan leather to spruce it up.
The infotainment layout in the Purosangue also didn’t thrill him, as he found the layout to be awkward.
Switching over to a Tesla Model Y Performance
Next, he compared the two cars’ performance.
The Purosangue goes from 0 to 60 in 3.55 seconds and can achieve a quarter mile in 11.43 seconds while driving between 123 and 124mph.
Undoubtedly impressive stats.
But how does the Model Y Performance compare?

As it turns out, the Purosangue was only barely faster than the Tesla Model Y Performance.
Ultimately, he just found it hard to justify the Purosangue as a daily driver due to its price.
The 18-month no-resale hold and the risk of depreciation were also factors in his decision.
