Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay bought a LaFerrari Aperta for $2.1 million in 2016, and since then, it’s skyrocketed in value.
Unlike your bog-standard vehicle that depreciates the second you drive it off the lot, some supercars prove to be seriously good investments.
The LaFerrari Aperta is one of them.
And it could make Ramsay a very healthy profit if he were to sell it today.

Ramsay’s Aperta was one of the first to be delivered
British-born celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has made more than a few bucks through his Michelin-starred restaurants and appearances on Hell’s Kitchen.
With a fortune expected to be worth over $750 million, the TV personality has a car collection that matches his flashy dishes.
Although he claims to be ’embarrassed’ by the collection, he is often pictured driving through London in a very nice set of wheels.
While he owns a few Aston Martins, the star of his collection is a Ferrari favored by a lot of celebrities: the LaFerrari Aperta.

Seen in the video at the top of this page, Ramsay bought the vehicle in 2016 for $2.1 million.
The stunning, pearly white LaFerrari Aperta 950hp supercar marked a new hybrid dawn for the brand.
Ramsay’s specifically was one of the first Apertas to be delivered, and he’s kept ownership of it ever since.
And for good reason.
His LaFerrari Aperta is skyrocketing in value
Much like the ever-increasing McLaren F1, the LaFerrari Aperta has quadrupled in value since Ramsay bought it nearly a decade ago.
Purchased for $2.1 million, the supercar is now valued around $9.35 million.
So if he were to sell it today, he would make more than $7 million.

Whether he will sell it is another conversation.
Some supercar owners have found that now is a good time to cash in on cars, including the Sultan of Brunei who just sold a record-breaking McLaren F1.
But the power curve on these car valuations is as much of a guessing game as the stock market, and the LaFerrari Aperta could continue to become more valuable.
Ramsay will likely be hoping that the hybrid Ferrari will only increase in value and avoid making him look like an ‘idiot sandwich’.
