Honda has charged into the big leagues with the debut of the Honda WN7 electric motorcycle, unveiled at EICMA 2025, the world’s largest motorcycle show.
For years, fans have been begging the world’s largest motorcycle maker to go beyond scooters and small urban commuters.
Now, it seems like Honda has finally complied.
The WN7 is a full-size, high-performance machine that signals Honda’s serious intent in the EV space.

This electric motorcycle has plenty of power
The Honda WN7 is a naked street bike built for everyday riding, but don’t let its ‘commuter’ label fool you.
Packing a peak output of 50 kW (about 67 horsepower) and a stump-pulling 100 Nm of torque, this thing has the punch of a 600cc gas bike and the instant response only an EV can deliver.

Twist the throttle, and you’re met with smooth, silent acceleration that feels like riding a gust of wind.
This is something Honda’s designers literally had in mind, with their ‘Be the wind’ philosophy.
The goal, they say, was to create a quiet, immersive ride that connects you to the environment rather than drowning it out with engine noise.
Visually, the WN7 stands out from the pack.
It wears a sharp, futuristic silhouette with a distinctive horizontal LED light bar up front.
The black-and-gold color scheme gives it a sleek, almost sci-fi vibe, while its engineering is equally cutting-edge.
Honda ditched the traditional frame entirely, instead using the rigid aluminum battery case as the bike’s backbone.
This frameless design reduces weight, centralizes mass, and improves handling, following a trend we’ve seen from electric innovators like LiveWire.
The WN7 will debut in Europe
Underneath, a liquid-cooled motor with an integrated inverter drives the rear wheel via a belt, delivering quiet yet satisfying torque.
The 9.3 kWh battery supports both CCS2 fast charging (20 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes) and standard Type 2 charging, offering a practical 87 miles of range per charge.
Add regenerative braking, adjustable deceleration, and a handy walk mode for parking, and the Honda WN7 becomes a smart, city-friendly ride that still knows how to have fun.
Pricing and release details are still under wraps, but the company plans to launch its electric motorcycle in Europe, where ‘electrification of personal mobility was becoming a trend’.
This means customers in other markets, including the US, may have to wait.
For now, fans of electric motorcycles can look towards brands like BMW, which recently announced a futuristic concept motorbike that will allow you to ride without a helmet.
