This man gave his honest opinion on whether he’d buy a Tesla Model 3 after driving one for 15 months.
YouTuber bentles has accumulated about 14,291 miles since taking delivery of it in August 2024.
The car had primarily been used for commuting purposes, but it had also seen some action on road trips.
He had a lot of thoughts on the car, both positive and negative, but what was his overall conclusion?

This driver gave his honest thoughts on the Tesla Model 3 after 15 months
There are tons of things to like about the Model 3, so there was plenty for this YouTuber to talk about.
He was a big fan of the Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, praising it for reducing highway driving fatigue.
It wasn’t perfect by any means, but he had counted himself as a fan.

“Nothing on the market even comes close to comparing,” he told his viewers.
“The full self-driving can navigate intersections and turns. It only really struggles with car parks in my experience.”
He’d also found that the range hadn’t proved to be an issue for him, as many people may have anticipated.
In his experience, he’d drive for about four hours before needing to recharge.
As a self-described ‘bigger guy’, he was full of compliments for the interior size and the seating comfort.

He was also complimentary about the climate control, the glass roof, and being able to use his phone as a key.
But that’s all the positives out of the way.
What were some of the drawbacks in his mind?
Would the car’s negative qualities be enough to make him think twice about buying again?
Although he’d praised the glass roof for letting in light, he also said that it did have the tendency to turn the car into a ‘hot box’ during summer.
And he lives in Australia, so you can imagine how hot that car must have felt to him.
There were also some build quality issues, like the paint chipping, a squeaky steering wheel, and carpet that traps dog hair.

No matter how much hair the carpet retained, it still wouldn’t make the car as gross as this early 2000s Dodge Ram.
He also said that the auto-wipers and auto-headlights were prone to behaving poorly – the wipers would turn on when going under bridges, for example.
And here’s a common complaint we hear from Tesla owners – some of the jibes about the company had gotten old for him.
The company’s controversial reputation can lead to some conflict, as this Utah family found with their Cybertruck.
But with all said and done, did this YouTuber still think he’d buy the Model 3 again?
Ultimately, he said that he would, but also that people should only do so if it would fit their needs – comfortable daily driver, and a long range EV.
If someone were looking for an ultra-rapid non-stop road trip car, he said another car might be a better fit.
At the end of the day, he said anyone sitting on the fence should sit themselves in a Model 3 and go for a test drive.
