Take a look inside the multi-million dollar presidential helicopter built with VIP armor for maximum safety.

The helicopter is used by the President of the United States to get from A to B securely.

But the helicopters also have special features.

And, although smaller than Air Force One, the chopper still had an abundance of space.

The presidential helicopter

The President of the US has a whole fleet of various modes of transport.

From cars to planes – the figure certainly travels in safety… and style.

For instance, the US president’s car, The Beast, needs to be destroyed every eight years.

Plus, the US President’s $3.2 billion Air Force One plane is a flying fortress with the world’s most advanced technology.

But, just wait until you see the helicopter.

Aptly named Marine One, the helicopter is safe, secure, and fierce.

Marine One is high-tech

As you’d expect, the helicopter is equipped with all the different perks.

“Marine One is the call sign for any Marine Corps aircraft carrying the President. The fleet of helicopters is operated by the HMX-1 ‘Nighthawks’. HMX-1 uses two unique aircraft types: the Sikorsky VH-3D Sea King and VH-60N Blackhawk, in support of Presidential missions,” explained the George W Bush Library.

“Marine One can be distinguished by its high-gloss, green and white paint scheme, referred to as ‘White Tops’.”

And, aside from looking impressive on the outside, inside things get even better. With loads of room for the President and even a bathroom, although the modes of transport are smaller than Air Force One, they are still spacious.

Plus, safety perks include ballistic armor and even technology that jams radars – and if a crash were to occur, it even has landing equipment and VIP armor that absorbs energy to prevent damage.

Marine One is also soundproof, too, which is a big perk for a chopper, and can carry different numbers of passengers depending on which option is chosen – between 11 and 14 in total.

Plus, snacks and drinks are part of the deal, so no one goes hungry even thousands of feet in the air, and picks up the president on the doorstep of the White House.
