Following the cessation of production of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio in 2019, the most iconic lines of the Italian luxury supercar brand, a special night was planned inside the Maserati factory.
People were welcomed into the factory to learn more about Maserati’s future and even sleep alongside the production line.
Important people from the brand discussed the past, present, and future of Maserati, and – five years on – Maserati announced that it would still be committed to being 100% engineered and made in Italy.
Not only will the focus stay on keeping Maserati in Italy, but the brand will commit to strategically focusing on bold electrification and sustainable growth.

Inside the Maserati factory
Back in November 2019, Maserati celebrated a historic day, the end of the production of the Italian supercar brand’s most iconic lines, the GranTurismo and the GranCanbrio.
To celebrate this, the Italian automaker opened the doors of the Maserati factory in Modena for an exclusive night-time event.
This gave guests a chance to enjoy an original account from some big players at the company about the past, present and future of the brand going forward, and even more excitingly, allow guests to actually sleep alongside the production line at the factory.

Back in 2019, Maserati announced that the plan for the future of the Italian luxury supercar brand will be a commitment to ‘combine[…] the Maserati heritage and ‘made in Italy’ DNA along with a strong drive towards the future and innovation.’
Six years on in 2025, Maserati is still sticking to the plan, going full steam ahead with sticking to its Italian roots, while prioritizing innovation, particularly electrification, like certain other Italian supercar brands of a similar ilk.

Maserati supercars will always be made in Italy
According to a press release from Maserati in 2024, the Italian luxury supercar brand is staying committed to designing and producing its supercars in Italy.
The company stated: “The Maserati range is 100% designed, developed, and manufactured in Italy.”
Maserati is also committed to innovation in the future, particularly electrification.
Last year, it was the first luxury car brand within Stellantis to ‘project itself into an electric future.’
While ensuring that its cars feature the most attractive and eye-catching details and look as good as they can, ‘more than ever, Maserati believes in electric future mobility.’
For Maserati, the future continues to stay based in Italy and with the release of the Maserati Folgore range, there’s no doubt that it’s going to be an electrifying one.
