It’s no secret that Tesla is one of the leading EV brands, and each model comes with a bucket load of features.
It seems, though, that over time, the novelty of these ultimately wears off after they are used.
So, YouTuber, Veglas Tesla Carmen revealed all, and some on his list may surprise you.
From clever light features to how many miles between charges, the list of features covers every base of owning an EV.

Range anxiety
Now, it’s normal for new EV owners to be slightly apprehensive about how much range their car will offer between charges, but after owning a Tesla for a while, the creator explained that this is really ‘just unfounded’, and ‘quickly goes away’.

Summon feature
Next up is the summon feature, which ultimately allows your Tesla to come to you.
Now, the creator explained that even though it feels somewhat ‘futuristic’ the first time that you use it, it can sometimes take longer than walking to your car.
Toybox menu
One of the many cool perks of owning a Tesla is the Toybox menu, which offers fun features like controlling the lights.
However, after owning the car for over six months, it seems that some owners never use it, with the creator himself noting that he often forgets it is there until he pulls up to a Supercharger, and his EV suggests that he should pass the time by playing a game.
Sentry mode
The creator further detailed that when Sentry mode notifications first pop up on your phone, they can feel concerning, but once you have owned your car for a while, these wear off.
He says that as time passes, they are often minor from the security system feature.

Voice commands
While voice commands are useful, the creator notes that once you get used to the touchscreen, it becomes easy to use.
Combined with the steering wheel’s scroll-wheel shortcut, he rarely relies on voice commands.
The Tesla key card
Forget the days of an actual car key; Tesla has a key card.
But even though it feels essential at first, he says that the Tesla app works too, resulting in fewer uses of the physical card.
Automatic windshield wipers
Even though the EV owner says that they work well most of the time and have improved over the years, they can sometimes be set off by dust.
So, he simply has them off until it rains, and then he lets them work their auto magic.

Tesla software updates
You’ll often see lots of buzz around updates on social media, but it turns out that over time the excitement wears off.
Veglas Tesla Carmen says that apart from a few huge ones across the year, the updates become more of a routine.
Being a Tesla expert
When you purchase a Tesla, people will often come to you with questions, but after a while, some can be repetitive.
Similarly, sometimes things can go wrong with any car, and after owning the EV for a long time, the creator says that you stop feeling like you need to correct people, both about the car’s features and the brand itself
“Over time, you will learn that most people really aren’t actually curious about those things, but they might already have their minds made up, and just want to let you know,” he further explained.
He also advised to stop engaging and just enjoy your car.
So, there you have it – like anything in life, when something is new, it becomes a fixation, but as time passes, it becomes the norm.
