Area 51 is one of the most intriguing and secretive locations in the world, and one man’s quest to find those secrets saw him being watched by a military Ghost Hawk helicopter.

YouTuber Uncanny Expeditions was in the area in February 2026 and had attempted to climb up Hawkeye Hill.

This would have allowed him a view of a rarely seen part of Area 51, and somewhere which remains one of the most secretive locations in the world.

While walking up the hill, the YouTuber got a bit of a surprise when a Ghost Hawk helicopter appeared, and it looked like it wasn’t there by chance.

How the Ghost Hawk helicopter spotted the man on the hill by Area 51

The YouTuber approached Area 51 earlier in the video and made his way to the hill.

Parts of the hill are publicly accessible, while other parts have restricted access to the public.

This led to a ‘camo dude, presumably a member of the military, honking the horn of his truck at the YouTuber.

Despite that, the YouTuber, along with fellow content creator Dreamland Resort, made their way up the hill.

Even though it’s a well-known location globally, Area 51 is still shrouded in some mystery.

It was at the top of the hill that the helicopter eventually got eyes on them.

The helicopter flew around them and kept them in its sights.

The Ghost Hawks are only used at Area 51, yet another factor adding to the mystery.

Why is the facility such a mysterious location?

Officially, Area 51 is a US Air Force base located near Groom Lake, Nevada.

Area 51 is used to denote the airbase and the surrounding area.

Opened in 1955, the site was used to test new aircraft.

Some of these were the Lockheed U-2, the Mach 3 SR-71 Blackbird, and the F-117 Nighthawk.

Despite being opened in the 1950s, the United States government did not acknowledge its existence until 2013.

The secrecy has led to wild conspiracy theories about aliens and UFOs.

Some even believe that the site is home to crashed UFOs and even aliens or their bodies.

The truth is, it is likely just used to test top-secret aircraft and drones, and the Air Force doesn’t want anyone to see them.

Still, it all adds to the intrigue and mystery of this unusual location.
