Man who massively prefers cars to EVs takes a ride in a Tesla Model S Plaid and is left saying something he 'hates'

There’s no hiding the recent shift from gas cars to EVs, and one car lover decided to test himself by going for a ride in a Tesla Model S Plaid.

The EV was a fresh 2026 model that his friend had purchased and boasted some impressive features in the cabin.

Not knowing if he’d like the car and be an EV fan, the man jumped into the passenger seat to experience the Model S magic for the first time.

And, after he actually got behind the wheel himself, he came to a big realization.

This man took a ride in a Tesla Model S Plaid and couldn’t believe his eyes

When it comes to EVs, there is one manufacturer that is considered to be ahead of the curve.

From new model releases to new technology within the cabin, Tesla is seen as a frontrunner.

So, to really see what the hype was about, one man who openly prefers standard gas-powered cars to EVs jumped in the passenger seat of a brand-new Tesla Model S Plaid.

“Alright, Foster is going to try and turn me into an EV guy. He’s going to try and convince me that EVs are actually cool and that there is a place for them in the car community,” said content creator stangryafterdark.

Once the creator got into the car, though, it was clear to see that he was impressed from the outset.

The interior and comfortable seats ticked the boxes, and when the car hit the open road, the speed was undeniable, as the levels just kept increasing.

After seeing the car fan step into the EV, other gearheads had a lot to say about their experiences with the Model S Plaid, too.

“I hated the idea of them too, but my buddy let me drive his and ooofff,” said one user.

“I love my Model S Plaid for my daily – the tech is awesome and plenty of power on tap whenever you want it,” said another EV fan.

“I gotta say I hate electric, but after driving one, they’re not too shabby,” added a third car enthusiast.

After experiencing the car, the gearhead came to a realisation

After sitting in the passenger seat of the car, in a video that followed, the man actually got behind the wheel himself, and was left saying one thing.

“I hate to say it, it’s such a sick car.”

It turns out that he was nervous getting into the car as he was afraid that he would like it, and clearly, he was right to be.

“It is so fast,” he said as he took to the road in the Tesla.

But it’s not just this man who thinks that, either.

In fact, another driver put the car to the test as it managed an impressive nine-second feat in a drag race against a Dodge Demon 170.
