California man who bought a Bugatti Bolide discovers it needs a tire change every 36 miles and they're even more expensive than you'd expect

California real estate mogul-turned-YouTuber Manny Khoshbin found out that his Bugatti Bolide hypercar requires a tire change every 36 miles, and it cost a fortune.

To be fair, Khoshbin basically built his entire channel around his hypercars and their costs.

Hypercars are very expensive to buy, but they’re even more expensive to run.

But even with that in mind, the tire change is still incredibly expensive.

The Bugatti Bolide is one of the last W16 superstars.

It’s a track-focused beast with a lot of power, and it generates a lot of downforce.

This probably explain why the tire situation is pretty crazy.

First, the car actually comes with two sets of tires.

One is a set of skinny, grooved tires that are used to transport the car to and from the venue it is heading to.

And the second set is a set of slick tires, designed specifically for the track.

You’ll never guess how much they cost, especially when we remember that you need to change them every 36 miles.

It’s around 15 miles (give or take) from Santa Monica to Downtown LA in California.

So imagine you live in Downtown but work in Santa Monica and image you have to drive your Bugatti Bolide there every day.

In a day, you’d drive 30 miles.

That means that, on the second day, you’d already need a tire change.

Assuming a five-day working week, that works out to around four tire changes every week.

Obviously that’s a silly comparison because the Bolide is a track-ready hypercar, but it still gives you an idea.

Especially when you learn – drum roll, please – that each set costs $8,000.

Imagine that.

If you track the car every week, you’d realistically be looking at around $30,000+ per month on tire changes alone.

Then again, Manny Khoshbin has a reported net worth of around $250 million.

So he can probably afford it.
