During the LA wildfires, the last thing you’d expect to see is a multimillion-dollar car collection parked outside a McDonald’s, including a Mercedes Gullwing.
However, that is what some locals found in Calabasas, California, at the start of 2025: a hoard of classic cars and modern supercars parked together.
You wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see the pictures, but luckily, someone did manage to film the cars and take photos to prove they existed.
But behind simply leaving them was a very clever reason, and we can explain it all.

These are the cars in this multimillion-dollar car collection that were parked at McDonald’s
A TikTok video by MizzyinMotion showed all the cars spotted in the McDonald’s car park.
Notably, a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing was parked up at the shopping center where the McDonald’s was located.
“Local shops being used as storage,” the videographer said.
Walking through it, there were more amazing cars on display.
It included a Ferrari F430 supercar, a Mercedes 190SL, and a Ford Mustang muscle car.
These are the sort of cars you’d normally expect to be parked in a private collection or even an automotive museum.

Jay Leno himself would be proud of anyone who collects all these cars.
However, they weren’t here just because their owners fancied a Big Mac and fries.
In fact, the reason for them being here was just pure genius.
This is the genius reason for these cars being parked here
In the midst of the California wildfires, people had to decide what to do with their valuables.
That can include cars such as the Mercedes 300SL and a Ferrari F430.
This owner, though, actually pulled off a truly genius move.
Where they were parked, the area was full of security cameras, and being in a public area, there were a lot of eyes on the cars.

If something was amiss, someone could see it, or CCTV would capture it.
Eventually, the cars were moved from the McDonald’s to a private, secure location.
But this move was pure genius, and it helped save the cars from the wildfires.
Seeing a multimillion-dollar car collection at McDonald’s really isn’t something you see every day.
