Neymar might just be one of the most fortunate human beings on the planet, after a mysterious billionaire left his entire $1bn estate to him.

The Brazilian soccer star currently plies his trade for his original club Santos.

But Neymar has recently run into an enormous success far from the football pitch.

And that is because a mysterious billionaire has left his entire $1bn estate to him – despite never meeting him.

Neymar left $1bn estate – but has never met the man

In one of the strangest stories you will ever see, Neymar has run into an unbelievable fortune.

The Brazil captain moved back home to his native country earlier this year from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

But this story today does not concern anything to do with the soccer pitch.

Instead, it concerns an area of land of a completely different type altogether.

It turns out that a mysterious Brazilian billionaire is a massive Neymar fan.

He is such a big fan of the Brazilian captain, in fact, that he has done something extremely strange.

The billionaire has decided to leave his entire estate to Neymar – despite having never met him.

This will, registered in Porto Alegre in June, names the 33 year-old as the sole beneficiary.

And the estate in question is worth an eye-watering amount – over $1bn, in fact.

The will was signed in the presence of two witnesses and a deputy notary, satisfying legal requirements.

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, the billionaire deeply admires Neymar.

The billionaire reportedly deeply admires Neymar’s close relationship with his father.

He also reportedly respects the Brazilian’s humility and family values, which were big parts of his unusual choice.

Brazil’s captain is one of soccer’s biggest stars

In case you are unaware, Neymar is one of Brazil’s biggest icons of the 21st century.

The future Brazil captain joined the youth academy of Santos all the way back in 2003.

It is the same soccer club that produced Pele, arguably the greatest footballer to ever live.

He would make his professional debut in 2009, before winning the Copa Libertadores in 2011.

Neymar’s Santos team would also finish as runners-up to F.C. Barcelona in the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup final.

Two years later, the Brazilian superstar would join the Catalan club that defeated Santos two years prior.

He would help form one of the greatest attacking trios in football history, ‘MSN’.

The attacking frontline would feature the Brazilian alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

2017 saw the star become the most expensive soccer player in the history of the sport.

His transfer fee of $263 million remains the single-biggest transfer fee of all time.

Since then, injuries have derailed Neymar’s momentum, including his time with Al-Hilal.

He will be hoping that his Santos return can boost momentum ahead of the FIFA World Cup next year.

Would you leave an estate worth a fortune to a celebrity that you’ve never met?
