This special Ferrari 250 GTO sold for a massive $32,000,000
Only 36 models of the Ferrari 250 GTO were ever made, and it was widely considered one of the best cars the marque has ever manufactured.
However, out of the 36 units, only a handful have been preserved in mint condition, making them extremely rare.
And, only one of those time capsules comes in the spectacular Bianco Speciale white.
Unexpectedly, this one-off vehicle was put up for auction last year and was expected to reach heights of up to $50 million.

The estimation was gauged from previous private sales reaching up to an extraordinary $70 million.
But the Bianco Speciale Ferrari 250 GTO was sold at auction for $32 million, making it one of the biggest open sales of all time.
Now, nearly six months later, notorious Ferrari enthusiast David Lee has claimed his trophy.

Professing himself as the Thanos of Ferrari collectors, David Lee has taken to social media to announce that he is the owner of the $38 million classic supercar.
“I am proud to be part of Ferrari’s history book as the newest custodian of this masterpiece,” he said on Instagram.
“I have been collecting for a long time now and have had many goals. The big five in red. The big five in yellow. The F80. But the top of the mountain, the last infinity stone of Ferrari collecting, is the 250 GTO.”

“I am humbled and honored to have achieved this goal. Remember to always dream big, no matter how impossible the goal may seem. I look forward to sharing with you all my journey.”
Lee is the CEO of Hing Wa Lee Group, one of the largest luxury watch retailers in the US, and has a massive array of rare Ferraris in his ownership.
Boasting a 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzon, and LaFerrari Aperta in both red and yellow – dubbed his ketchup and mustard ranges – his collection exceeds $100 million and is considered to be the best assortment of Italian supercars on the planet.
Now, the Ferrari 250 GTO will enter this array and hang out with esteemed company.
