This man bought a Range Rover from Copart, but the amount of rodent damage left his dad very upset.
Eddie, the host of the Fixing Salvage YouTube channel, had gotten his hands on a 2017 Range Rover Sport.
The car had been written off by insurance due to the extent of damage.
With his dad on hand to help him out, could Eddie fix this car or was it a lost cause?

How rodents had damaged the Range Rover
When Eddie’s dad found out about the car his son had purchased from Copart, his response wasn’t particularly optimistic.
He accused Eddie of being ‘off his trolley’, which is British slang for ‘You’re nuts’.

And then he promptly headed off to get a drink to take the edge off.
Would the car really be as bad as he’d feared?
This Range Rover had become infested with mice, so its interior had to be professionally disinfected.
It looked clean from the outside, but that’s just because the mice’s teeth can only do so much damage.
When the car was placed inside the workshop, it was time to inspect the damage.
And it might have been enough to send Eddie’s dad running back to the bar – or the pub, as it were.
The cream leather seats looked like blocks of cheese with the amount of holes that were across them.

The car was also totally unresponsive to the key, with no sign of life from the lights or the ignition.
Upon closer inspection, they found that the battery has been disconnected.
Once it was reconnected, things started to show some promise – fault codes not withstanding.

Rodent damaged cars are not ideal
By the end of the video, Eddie was pleasantly surprised by the car’s condition, while his dad still seemed to be on the fence.
“He doesn’t want to accept that I’m right,” Eddie joked to his viewers.
There was still work left to do, but things had gotten off to a surprisingly good start with this Copart car.
Let’s face it, hearing a car has been a chew-toy for a bunch of mice doesn’t fill one with hope.
When set loose in a car, mice can do a lot of damage, whether it’s a Honda Acura NSX or a Lamborghini Countach.
