Rapper T-Pain celebrated the arrival of 2026 in style with a brand-new private jet for himself and his mom.

Finished in blue and white with green accents, the jet looks stunning.

But it isn’t cheap.

And wait until you hear how much a ‘simple’ flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas.

T-Pain chose a nice way to kickstart 2026

Rapper T-Pain celebrated the new year by purchasing a private jet.

We can think of worse ways to start the year.

The rapper took to Instagram to share the news, and he also shared his mother’s reaction, which, as you can imagine, was priceless.

“Look ma, I just bought a plane,” the caption read.

T-Pain didn’t actually mention the jet’s make and model, but with our Sherlock Holmes hat on, we can tell it kind of looks like a Gulfstream GV.

What he did mention was the cost of the plane’s maiden flight.

Well, maiden flight as far as T-Pain was concerned because we don’t know whether the plane is new or not – that’s another thing he hasn’t mentioned.

Flying from Atlanta to Las Vegas cost him $126,000.

Ouch.

Not all celebrities own a jet

Some people may be tempted to think that all celebrities own private jets, but that’s not the case.

Most actually don’t own one; they just charter them.

Renting a private jet from time to time is something nearly all celebrities can afford.

But it’s a different story if you actually want to buy one.

Private jets – just like yachts – cost a fortune whether you use them or not.

You’re looking at a six or in some cases, seven-figure sum every year just on maintenance, taxes, and insurance.

And as T-Pain – indirectly – demonstrated, they cost even more if you actually use them.

The flight distance from Atlanta to Las Vegas is approximately 1,500 miles, and it cost him $136,000.

Now imagine doing that once a month, or once a week.
