The refreshed Tesla Model Y just got its first proper interior showing, and it’s already got fans talking.

The clip is only half a minute long, but that’s enough to confirm what’s new and what hasn’t changed.

It’s the first time we’re seeing the cabin laid bare, and naturally, the comments section lit up.

Some people love the direction, others… not so much.

Here’s what’s inside the new Tesla Model Y

The big screen is still front and center – Tesla’s oversized touchscreen isn’t going anywhere.

But there are plenty of changes elsewhere in the cabin.

The front seats now feature leg support, the second row has ventilation, and the third row gets heating.

The middle row folds down into captain’s chairs, giving the SUV a more flexible layout.

There are also physical buttons for adjusting the headrests and armrests – a detail Tesla fans will no doubt be excited for.

Add in sharper-looking trim and stitching on the doors and seats, and the whole space feels more premium than before.

That list of updates sparked plenty of comments.

“This is why I like Teslas. No fake vents, no 200 buttons – just what you need,” said one Redditer.

Others weren’t so convinced.

“Looks nice but feels empty. For this price I want more than a big iPad in the middle.”

Public reaction is split

That divide pretty much sums up Tesla’s whole interior philosophy.

Minimalism is either the point or the problem.

Some noted it is ‘clean, simple, maybe too simple for some.’

Others pointed out that rivals like Rivian and Lucid are leaning into bold colors, lighting, and extra screens, while Tesla is doubling down on stripped-back design.

It’s not the first time either.

When the Cybertruck interior was revealed, the same debate kicked off: futuristic to some, boring to others.

But love it or hate it, the new Model Y cabin has people talking – and for Tesla, that’s already mission-accomplished.
